We are Barton Men's Volleyball
Picture this: Barton College Men’s Volleyball is the first Conference Carolinas MVB program to make the NCAA finals. It’s happening. And it’s going to take some help from you. When you give to Barton College Men’s Volleyball you’re helping us travel to play against the best from across the United States. That brings valued exposure to Barton College, our program and Wilson, NC. More exposure leads to more recruits and ultimately, more success. Our mission is to provide student athletes the full experience of a D1 volleyball program, along with the personalized benefits of a D2 institution. All while shaping these young men into the best teammates, players, students and humans they can be. I’m here to build something great. Will you help? It’s also important to instill a sense of work ethic and earning into the young men on this team. So, for every $1,000 raised, the team will do a combined 10 hours of community service. Thank you for helping us build the foundation for success here at Barton College.
A note from Coach Deppe
"As a former student-athlete some of my fondest memories were traveling to play big time opponents. Those trips and matches are stories I will be able to share with my family for the rest of my life. They also allowed me to grow very close with my teammates and create friendships that will last a lifetime. We have some great student-athletes on our team that need these experiences as well. Your support just this year alone will have positive rippling effects that will affect our student-athletes in so many different ways in the future. We are going to make the Barton College Men's Program something extremely special and successful. Thank you for your support and GO BULLDOGS!!!" -JT DEPPE HEAD MEN'S VOLLEYBALL COACH
A note from Senior Jake Adams
"Going into my senior year at Barton, I have witnessed and experienced firsthand the benefits the Clash of the Bulldogs fundraiser offers. As a division I program at a division II institution, we do not get the same benefits as some of our more fortunate opponents. The Clash of the Bulldogs allows us as a program to create more opportunities to challenge ourselves against Division I opponents. We beat our first true division one opponent in my time here last year and are more than capable of pulling off another victory this year. However, creating this opportunity for ourselves has little to do with our skills and a lot to do with finances. The Clash of the Bulldogs serves as an opportunity for our team to prove ourselves as one of the most competitive programs in the country."
Our goal you're making happen through your donation
$17,500 for away trips to Miami to play two matches in January, as well as California in February to play against Long Beach State. Gifts of all sizes are greatly appreciated. The goal is to raise at least $1,000 per student-athlete on the team as this will be able to cover the travel for them.
